About SimpleFileKit

SimpleFileKit is a collection of free file tools that run entirely in your web browser. There are no accounts, no uploads, and no file-size limits.

Why it exists

Most file converters online work by uploading your document to a remote server. That’s fine for a meme, but risky for a contract, a payroll spreadsheet, or a scan of an ID. We built SimpleFileKit around a simple promise: your files never leave your device. Every tool does its work locally, so your data stays yours.

What’s inside

Tools for PDFs (merge, split, compress, convert to and from images, Word and Excel), images (compress, resize, convert, remove background), and spreadsheets (merge, split, de-duplicate, and convert between Excel and CSV). Every tool has its own page with a short guide and answers to common questions.

How your privacy is protected

There are no file-processing servers behind SimpleFileKit. When you open a tool, the code needed to run it loads into your browser, and from that point everything — reading your file, converting it, and saving the result — happens on your device. Closing the tab wipes the file from memory. We never receive a copy, so there is nothing for us to store, leak, or sell.
